The Leeward and Rural Tobago Supply Project formed part of the long
term water supply development programme to provide Tobago with an adequate and  reliable water supply. 

This project was partially funded under a Caribbean Development Bank  Loan.  Alpha  was commissioned by WASA to carry out the design of the projects as well as  provide engineering services during construction.

The major elements of the project was:   
  • Seventeen  kilometers of transmission pipelines
  • Water treatment plant at Highland
  • Four service reservoirs   
  • Wet well and lift  station at Bloody Bay
  • Four booster pump  stations  

These elements were separated into four  contracts:
  • Pipeline  Installation
  • Pump  Stations
  • Reservoirs
  • Water treatment plant, raw water intake and refurbishment of Courland  filters
