Alpha was contracted to respond to the EMA's request for further information for the CEC application made by the Client  for a proposed asphalt and concrete batching plant off the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, Arima. 

 The scope of services included:
  • Storm  water management plan for the site.    
  • Calculations for pre and post development flow, inclusive of detention pond sizing for attenuation of post development flow to the pre-development flow.
  • Description of on-site measures to maintain pre-development flow
    during and after construction.
  • Description of the bag house or any other measures/technologies used to reduce air emissions for both the concrete and
    asphalt batching plants. 
  • Methods used to reduce the levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).         
  • Proposed air emission monitoring and management programmes.
  • Proposed maintenance and monitoring activities for the proposed for the plant equipment.
